Freight Railway Wagon Overhaul & Spare Parts Manufacturing

This project covers the semi-basic (intermediate) overhaul, repair, and reconstruction of freight railway wagons and car-carrier wagons, together with in-house manufacturing of all consumable wagon parts. The scope of work includes:

• 1- Semi-basic overhaul of freight wagons — complete strip-down, inspection, and refurbishment of underframes, bogies, brake rigging, and couplers

• 2- Wagon body repair and reconstruction — patching, re-plating, and welding of damaged steel body panels, followed by full repainting

• 3- Car-carrier wagon servicing — maintenance of double-deck vehicle transport wagons, including decks, ramps, and running gear

• 4- Manufacturing of all consumable wagon parts — cast bogie side frames, bolsters, wheelsets, axle boxes, coil springs, brake shoes, and coupler heads

• 5- Wheelset re-profiling on CNC underfloor wheel lathes with precision tread machining

• 6- Final inspection and certification of overhauled wagons before return to service
